Residents of the area that are passionate about cars know that as soon as spring comes around its time to start polishing those rides and get everything looking tip top because Springfest is right around the corner. Due to pandemic issues Springfest was cancelled last year and this year marked the big return of the colossal event that Low Class Militia has been hosting for years. sIf memory serves us right, we have attended every single Springfest that has been held. Additionally, we have been vendors in the vast majority of them. Sadly, this year we were unable to be vendors because of prior commitments we had done. We have seen the event grow exponentially, year after year the event continuous to grow in size. It is not only the size of the event that grows, it is also the quality of the event that increases. Every year Low Class Militia ensure that no detail goes unnoticed and its participants are always grateful for the fantastic time they have on that day. The event is perfectly planned to introduce people into various dimensions of the car modifying culture. There were drifting exhibitions with ride alongs, motorcycle stunt showcases, 2-step competitions and a limbo contest. The car show contained entertainment for everyone's individual favorite parts of the scene. Unfortunately, our coverage of the event is not substantial as we were unable to stay at the show for an extended amount of time. It was, however, enough time to catch up with some old friends and to pass out some polaroid of some cars. Please note that polaroids were given on the criteria of cars giving us something to talk about while we were there, and in no shape or form were selected in an attempt to that show what we believe were the best looking cars in the show.

Yes...we know. This post is kind of late and should've been done a long time ago. However, due to the circumstances of the event and our proximity to Tito, it has been difficult to put in writing what we want to say. What we have realized is, that we will never be happy with what we want to say and we should just put out what comes first. The past year has been rough for everyone. Wether you believe in Covid-19, wether you agree with the mandates/recommendations, we have all been forced to some extend to alter our lifestyles in more than one way. This past year has made us reflect and made us appreciate things that we took for granted. However, the effects didn't end there. Many of us lost family members and friends through this time. For the purposes of this blog we would like to focus on only three people that we lost, Cheezy, Wicho and Tito. As a sidenote, for those wondering why we didn't hold cruises or meets to commemorate Wicho and Cheezy the answer is quite simple. For Tito, we were asked by many including family to hold something in his memory. People flew in from his hometown and from different places and the family wanted to have an event that would allow for his loved ones to come together in a setting that he loved. We did not feel it appropriate to ask Cheezy's family or Wicho's family for permission to host an event and decided it would be better to allow time for mourning before anything happened. However, I do believe we will be able to hold meets that will allow us to remember and commemorate these individuals at the 1 year anniversary of their passing. As both Cheezy and Wicho were a huge part of our development as a group, which started many years ago and were an active part of the local car community. Back to our meet, we would like to thank everyone who attended. We understand the meet was announced on a short notice, but it was timed in a way that would better align with the date of services and the day that out of town visitors would be able to attend. Regardless of the circumstances the showing was strong and respectful. Tito's family was extremely grateful of everyone coming out. They were especially touched by the stories everyone shared, as they were true examples of the love the community had for Tito and the love Tito spread to the community. We'd like to thank everyone that came out and hope to see many more of you at future events.
